"what's your name?" asked the tall one.

the short one gazed down at his dirty, beaten shoes. he hesitated to push words through his lips. he acted quick and stole his shoe's identity.

"my name...is Chuck Taylor."

this was the start of a new life, a new friend, and the purchase of brand-new shoes.
