The disease, it was the result of the U.S.'s attempt to get rid of the weak. The symptoms were tame, at first. Along the years, the symptoms would get worse and worse. Seizures. Respiratory problems. Ultimately, the weakest would go through organ failure. The population of the U.S. has plummeted. Why? Only 1% of Americans have a mutation that help them survive the disease. Not only that, but the mutation is, unfortunately, not hereditary. Symptoms start for all at 15, but you will only know if you will live the disease at 17. The disease in question?
