Maya grew up in a violent home, her mom and dad constantly fought and Maya never knew there was any other type of life. When Maya faces different challenges, she struggles to make good decisions and ends up in a mental hospital, which gives her plenty of time to reflect on her decisions ...and to think she's only 14.
