Loosely based on my life, Green walls is about a teenage girl who struggles to deal with her life... Maya grew up in a violent home, her mom and dad constantly fought and Maya never knew there was any other type of life. When Maya faces different challenges, she struggles to make good decisions and ends up in a mental hospital, which gives her plenty of time to reflect on her decisions ...and to think she's only 14.

She wants absolutely nothing to do with Logan,but somehow he finds a way to meddle his way into her life. And when he figures out more about Kira,he's more than shocked. He doesn't see a girl who hates the entire world ,but hates herself even more. He doesn't see a fat, ugly, whore when gazing into her eyes. He sees a girl who's been wronged by the world left and right. He sees a girl who cares music more than she cares about her own life. He sees a person who needs love. I've been very depressed and heartbroken so, what better than to create a story out of it? "This is my life" details a protagonist going through her teenage years up until the age of 21. Through love, friendship, grief, and heartbreak, you will get to witness what it's like being a young black girl trying to conquer the world. I hope anyone going through either heartbreak, grief, insecurities, mental health declines are able to read this and know that they're not alone!
