It's a story based in the future year 2050. Due to technology created 12 years prior, scientists discovered animals weren't the only things walking alongside humans. Reapers had been made known and instead of scientists taking them away for further experiments, reapers had made a contract with the humans. In order to be left in peace the reapers would help detectives if they found a murder victim when reaping.
This may seem like a simple contract but not everyone feels that way...
