I feel that brown eyes are not represented enough in literature, film, television etc. We're always portrayed as so ordinary and not special. It's always 'chocolate brown eyes' or 'dark eyes.' So I decided to write some descriptions of my own, and compile some of the descriptions that I like best. I also hope to incorporate some photography into this, taking photos of my brown eyed friends.

My eyes aren't normal. They were green, as in a vibrant, bright green. A lot of people marveled at them. But I hated them. I couldn't stand to look at them. I knew what they meant. I can tell
I'm different, I can read and see what people think. Every moment of everyday... it's not normal. I've been this way for too long. Ever since I saw my best friends dad die in front of my own two, once blue eyes. My now gold orbs, seeing the world for what it actually is. "You think I am lying?" He holds my face with both his hands and looks deep in my eyes. "Mia, I will say this for the last time. I don't do love. You ever looked at someone and thought you were probably in a dream? That they couldn't possibly exist in your reality? Like if you open your eyes or speak too loud they will just disappear and become one of those dreams you try so hard to remember but you can't? That is how i feel when i look at her, Kris. She has become so much more than an interesting girl, so much more than a gorgeous body, so much more than a girl i would mess around with for a couple of days. She is no longer a want, she is a need. i need to know everything about her, everything that makes her smile and everything that makes her cry. i need her to love me as much as i love her. I see the hurt in her eyes every time i look in her eyes, she tortures herself, her words are heavy with regret and self-blame and i want to be the one to save her from all of it, from herself.
