The year is 2633.
Ever since the 138th element of the periodic table, Kosmodium, was found in 2467, the Sovereignty has taken over the Martian and Terran governments. No one knows why, but everyone knows about the Sovereignty's Academies, special schools placed in each major city for those who had Kosmodium radiation, training them in ways that were secret to all others.
But that was before. 5 years ago, the Sovereignty proclaimed to the populations news of a growing threat. A monstrous force, known only to the Sovereignty and the Academy residents, has become too strong to put down. Desperate, the Academies have begun to accept all people, even those who are ordinary in every way. There is no other option for the Sovereignty. It is draft, or crumble.
Archimedes Dence, 16, is among those who are drafted. But, like everyone else, must be taken to a testing building to assess his Kosmodium radiation.
Nobody was expecting it.

The year was 2098. I was a spacecraft and jet pilot during an era of relative peace. No robotic apocalypses, no zombie outbreaks, no meteor showers-nothing of the sort. Humanity had even established a presence on Mars. Yet, beneath this calm, a sinister force was thriving on the Red Planet. Whispers of a terrorist organization began circulating, hidden within the colonies. Now, they have completely seized Mars for their own dark motives. This group, The Mars Philanthropics (MP), had a name steeped in irony. They claimed to be "lovers of mankind," but in reality, they were far from benevolent. Their so-called charitable mission concealed a darker agenda. I wasn't a member of the military. Instead, I led my own organization-TAF (Terrorist Annihilator Force). Though small in size, we boasted the most seasoned and capable operatives. When the government realized the extent of MP's influence, they turned to us for help. This wasn't just another mission-it was a call to action against the most pervasive terrorist group in history. I'm regarded as the best spacecraft pilot, but this mission will challenge everything I've ever known. But now I face a choice more difficult than any before: let my friends-who are like a family for me-die or kill a family member who is nothing more than a stranger to me. Will I complete the mission? Colonized eons ago from select groups of settlers from Earth and Mars, the six inhabited moons of Iedra, Feirro, Eympas, Alrotha, Torhindred, Titan, and Lyriptus- formerly entitled Enceladus, Mimas, Tethys, Dione, Rhea, Titan, and Iapetus- each stand alone, in a perpetual feud started long ago. Some care not at all for the others one way or another. Some are too weak to meddle in the affairs of their neighbors. Some are so strong they are feared. Others still seek domination, and will do whatever they can to get it. Sol's light shines on the fatherworld, far away. Tensions only rise. Unity or division? Is there a difference?
