Macarena is a passionate, sensual, young gypsy woman in 15th century Barcelona, a time and place where gypsies are a marginalized and oppressed people and apparently, the city is not big enough for her clan and a platoon of the Spanish army. As the tensions between them start resulting in the rape and murder of several young gypsy girls, Macarena, as the daughter of the clan's leader, will have to make a decision.
