Lily was a loud, happy girl. That is, until her house burned down and she lost everything. Including her family.
She blames herself. She was the only one that survived, by pure luck, or so everyone believes. Now she lives with her aunt whom she has never met until now.
She stops talking, rarely eats a full meal, and stays out of the house, roaming the countryside aimlessly.
That is, until he meets her, the "mute" girl in school, who no one's ever heard speak a single word. He saved her more than once, risking his own life but in a way she wasn't grateful.
But that's not the entire story. Not even close.

The Guardian

A girl who seems to know things about everyone sees him and don't know who he is. She seen him around But doesn't know a thing about him and wants to know exactly who he is. The Awakening
*Book contains strong language and sexual content* Follow Angel as she sets out on a journey to find herself. Growing up she always knew that she was different from every one else. She could run faster, see, hear, and smell better, but could never figure out why. It wasn't until she decided to take off on a journey and start a new life, that she discovered just how different she was. Her whole life was changed when three gorgeous men moved into the run down house next door. She soon finds out there is a whole other half to her, that she never knew about. Along the way she finds herself wrapped up in love with the guy next door. 'Happy birthday to me!' she thought. The three men that were standing next to the truck talking were the most impressive things she has ever seen. The youngest looking one was blonde with green eyes, and you could see through his tight shirt that he must work out a lot. The next guy had a sandy blonde colored hair and his eyes looked to be brown, she couldn't be sure since she only got a quick glimpse before he turned to talk to the last man. The last man was taller than the others; he looked as he would be the oldest of the three. He had dark black hair and blue eyes. Not the sky blue like her eyes, these were like a dark sapphire blue something that she had never seen before. She could see every muscle of his arms and chest through his tight shirt. She found herself gawking at the man and had to make herself turn away and close her mouth that was obviously hanging open in surprise. Don't get yourself all worked up, it's probably just the moving guys. The people who move in are probably going to be an old grumpy couple that never wants company she told herself. The Neighbour's House
My neighbour's house is normal. There are two stories, stairs, and a tiny porch. A red door, and many windows with pretty crimson shutters. My neighbour's house is normal. The lights are on when they need to be, and off when they don't. The grass is mown, and there are sometimes cars in the driveway. My neighbour's house is normal. Sometimes I can see into some of the rooms. Always when I'm not really trying. The rooms are nice, with a warm colour scheme and polished wooden furniture. There is one room that is entirely white. A bare bulb swings from the ceiling. From the outside, I can see no furniture. The walls are old and stained.. There are no shutters on that window. My neighbour's house is normal. I see them sometimes. They're gone most of the day. We wave when we see each other, coming or going. Those two seem nice. Didn't they used to have a son about my age? My neighbour's house is normal. They turn off their lights about the same time we do. Except in that one room. The lights in the white room stay on late each night. I tried to watch them, once, to see how late they stayed on. I fell asleep. When I woke up, they were already off. My neighbour's house is normal. Sometimes I hear sounds from the house. Almost like muffled screams. I told myself I wasn't going to make this book, but I guess I did. Because you have found it, I guess you can read it. It's a story about a girl's life. A life where she was taken from everything she knew. Her house, her friends, and even her family. She was brought to a new family with a brother, sister, and mother who were also taken from their life. There she lives looking for way to escape from her 'family'. Her new dad was the one who planned it and won't let them leave. He's abusive and mean. When a conflict leads to death, the girl makes a plan with her "brother" to escape. Will they ever be able to escape this mad man and this "perfect family" he created? Of course I know. That girl is me. But if you want to find out go ahead and read my book.
