Lily was a loud, happy girl. That is, until her house burned down and she lost everything. Including her family.

She blames herself. She was the only one that survived, by pure luck, or so everyone believes. Now she lives with her aunt whom she has never met until now.

She stops talking, rarely eats a full meal, and stays out of the house, roaming the countryside aimlessly.

That is, until he meets her, the "mute" girl in school, who no one's ever heard speak a single word. He saved her more than once, risking his own life but in a way she wasn't grateful.

But that's not the entire story. Not even close.
