An Angel's Revenge

CHAPTER ONE: THE NIGHTMARE BEGINS
I ran towards the teenager in the ebony black outfit. A loud bang rang in my ears as I looked down to see the bloody spot in my shirt spreading quickly. Silently, I fell to my knees and then to my side as I held my wound. Blacking out, I heard a male voice. " Call the rest of the officers over. The robber went out the back." I felt lots of footsteps slamming into the ground. Another voice, female this time, "She was shot in the lung. She should be happy it wasn't in her heart. She can still be saved, thankfully. Bring me the..." Where did the voices go?

There was a sound. It was steady. Beep...Beep...Beep...Beep...It wouldn't stop. I wake up to find myself in the middle of a surgery room. One of the doctors put anesthesia in my arm, making me black out yet again, I listen. Beep......Beep....... It stopped. There was just an annoying, ongoing sound as it slowly faded away.
