Katie Richards is a normal 17 year old, well that is until the day of December 6, the day that her father, Craig Richards gets in a car accident and dies. Katie is broken and doesn't think she will ever heal. That is until she meets someone just as broken as she is and he may be enough to bring hope and love back into her life.
Austin Collins has always been the nerdy type and a huge book worm with a big secret. He is living with his aunt after living in an abusive household for the first 10 years of his life. When Austins aunt tells him that he is going to be moving to a small town, Austin is crushed. Being the new kid in the the school half way through his senior year he is obviously the outcast. When Austin meets Katie they hit it off instantly and become close friends.
