Charlotte has fallen in love with a boy she has never said a word to. She sees him every sunday at the coffee shop on 75th Avenue at exactly 10 o’clock, never earlier, never later. She’s much too timid to go up and say hello, much less hold eye contact. So she watches him out of the corner of her eye, coming and going out of the little warm building. Liam has fallen in love with the quiet girl who sits in the corner of the coffee shop at 10 o’clock every sunday, sneaking glances at him then smiling down at her coffee. He doesn't know her, and she doesn't know him, but that’s what makes it so perfect.

The Coffee Shop
There was something different about this coffee shop. I had been coming here for eight years and I just couldn't find myself ever losing interest in it. I just kept coming back. Whether it was to enjoy their delicious drinks and treats or just to relax and think. Or maybe it was just to enjoy and admire the flamboyant woman behind the counter. Mature Language involved. Jack moves as the light turns green. "You know, if there's one book I haven't read, it's Emma by Jane." "No way." Jack nods. "I'm more on a Kafka vibe now." "Oh?" "I'm reading Letters to Milena." "You are the knife I turn inside myself; that is love. That, my dear, is love." He quotes dramatically. Jack smiles. "It's beautiful. How can he have such a vision of life and be so devastatingly in love with her? It's art." "Definitely a favourite of mine. It's so... pure, so raw. It explains what love is, I think. It's such a vague concept." Jack shrugs. "I don't think you can take his letters as a definition of love. Only you know what it means. Because everyone loves differently." Zach takes in his words. "I see." He hums. "So, to know what love is, one has to be loved." "Not necessarily. You can look at your parents and see that they love each other. Or a random old couple in the park. The love is there. But it's different from everyone else's." He nods slowly. "What's love to you?" "I'll let you figure that one out yourself." Jack smiles softly. "Maybe one day I'll tell you." He shrugs. Zach whines. "Ugh, don't be mysterious." They chuckle as Jack parks the car in front of the coffee shop. Jack turns it off. "I'm letting you explore the mystery because I don't know what love is, just yet." He moves to hold his hand. "Not that it means with you, at least." The brunet feels his lips contort into a smile. "That was so cheesy." He chuckles. He rolls his eyes. "I'm trying to be romantic here." He squeezes his hand.Complete

"Hey, you don't get to come in here and start ordering her around," Levi says harshly. "You don't control her." "And you think that you do?" Jack spits. ♔ When Scarlett moved off to college, she hoped to start anew and find her way in this world alone. Two problems. One: her older brother goes to the same college, and it seems like he's everywhere, keeping her from doing everything she hoped to do as a college freshman. Two: her brother's devastatingly handsome best friend also seems hell-bent on ruining her college experience . . . but in a different way. Their paths keep crossing, and Scarlett is reminded of the powerful attraction that they've both ignored for far too long. Not to mention, a new face begins to occupy everyday Scarlett's thoughts. Her mother died giving birth to her and her father never really cared, always working in his successful company. What is driving her insane though is that he's only too cold when it comes to her. After some not so pleasant moments and lots of glares, she tells herself that the best is to stay away from him, but it won't be that easy. After a disastrous kiss and hidden jealousy, she finds herself deeply involved into what is this frustrating boy. Add to that the fact that he is her roommates' childhood best friend and you can see drama from miles away. Noah claims to hate her ever since they met, and he doesn't mean her first day of college. He remembers her just fine from a couple of years ago and all the feelings are back. He knows she doesn't remember him and he'll use this as his leverage to do what he has to do. It's what he promised his father and himself, even if it means he has to pretend to care for her. All he cares is his family business. At least it's what he tells himself, until the feelings start getting too mixed and he ends up thinking of her more than he should. Maybe it's not all about business after all. London's chilly weather has to be one of my favourites. Especially when walking through the streets at night with almost no one around. The silence of the empty city is only heard by one of my ears as I have one AirPod in. I finally go inside the pharmacy, making my way to the hair products aisle. Picking up a vanilla-scented pair of shampoo and conditioner, I head to the self-checkout. I pay for my purchase and walk out the automatic doors, bumping into someone almost instantly. The sound of a heavy object hitting the ground startled me and I look over to the person asking if they're okay, I'm met with the green-eyed gaze of a man who held my arm to help me not fall like the thing that was on his back, which looks like a guitar case... Is it broken?! - This story is based on the song "No One Knows" by Stephen Sanchez featuring Laufey. - Lana decided to enjoy her early 20s as a physical education student and just moved to London, but only knows Charlotte, a girl she met during a trip to the city almost a decade ago.
