And not after very long, she finds herself in fits of hysteria each night, as strange hallucinations of a nameless girl's death plays before her eyes. They are driven to the woods and they build a small hut in the dense forest, barely living from day to day, but peacefully. That is, until the town's leader gathers enough men to track Ivy, and take her back to the village to be burned. Evelyn knows that she'll be next - being the only descendant of Ivy. She packs up her few belongings and gallops deeper and deeper into the woods until her eyelids fall, causing her to lose control of the horse, fall off of it and into a black abyss.
