Mi-Ru Tallahassee grew up with god-parents more in love with each other than they would like to admit, but she also grew up knowing that her god-father knocked up her god-mother when she was only seventeen... then ditched her. What happened afterward is apparently history to everyone except them.

In walks Davie Crockett Sacramento or D.C. fir short. In elementary school he tormented her by lunch room food fights and stupid double underdog dares (that you never turn down). In middle school he became a two hundred pound nice guy with really horrible friends.

But nothing prepared her for the emotionally constipated, socially awkward, six foot five inch tall, blue haired (and beard) teen that was smarter than her in everything except English.

Guess not all boys are bad boys, not all Asians are smart, not all nerds and geeks are short, and there actually exists differences between geeks and nerds. Who knew? (certainly not her god-mom who thought it was a good idea as the daughter of two Methodist pastors to smoke get herself pregnant, then abort the baby without their knowledge).
