❝Do you realize how messed up we are, hiding our honest feelings just because we wanted to be stereotypically normal? It's bullshit. ❞ ***** Kirlia Hemmings is normal and she makes sure that she reminds herself of that fact, at least once every day. However, despite all her attempts, the entire universe makes her feel like an outcast for being brought up by a gay couple. Her dads are her life but since the arrival of puberty, the only thing she had ever acquired was a jar full of insecurities that made her vulnerable about her very awesome dads. Peter Hemmings and Noah Benedict, soon realise how their daughter was suffering because of their decision of being together and go against the societal norms. Infuriated and dejected, they collectively decide to go make her switch schools. Pride High School. A school was established for homosexuals and people who had been discriminated against based on their gender preferences. Kirlia, however, had a minute issue. She was straight and straights were despised in Pride High. Caught up in a mix of 'heterophobes', it's almost hard to dodge them without getting involved with 'The Scandalous Six', now seven, a gang of those who don't care about people more than baseless prejudices. Being scandalous and friendly, she gets a gang of weirdos who become her beam of sanity. But soon the fury of attraction and prejudices collide, making it almost impossible to run away from reality. How far would Kirlia go to get her piece of love? Or will she be restricted by the prevailing stereotypes? ***** ©sarcastic-mess/2022 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐝 :: June 2022 𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐝 :: ???

Bwwm|Romance|Drama|18+ because of content This book is not for everyone. Read at your own risk. ⛔️ Kendra thought Easton was in all kinds of danger. Heck, she thought he was the son of Satan himself. She was so shocked to know that girls were going crazy over this punk-ass bad boy who was a member of a boy band that was all kinds of evil. As a Godly girl, she thought these kinds of boys needed saving. And that girls needed to just keep their legs closed at all times because boys like Easton could take them to hell with him. She knew the best thing to do was to gift him a Bible and a crucifix before it was too late. So this was what she did and many other things. But this soon got crazy when Easton's gothic parents found out about her doings. They were not fond of her sending religious packages to their son and wanted her to be held accountable for her actions. Of course, she was also damaging his reputation with her every move. To come to a truce, Kendra was to attend Easton's events and be his tutor and friend. Well, these kinds of things were not what Kendra wanted. But to not get reported for harassment, she had no other choice but to accept these dangerous moves... Then something unexpected happened causing a weird romance to bloom between them. A boy like him and a girl like her didn't make the perfect love story. It was just a matter of time before she lost what she ever fought for. And she just couldn't disappoint her pastor father and her religious family.

"I was born on June 22nd, 1947 on the wet warm soil of Anniston, Alabama. Where the climate was equivalent to a steaming pot on a stove." ... "Alabama a South state that was segregated while I was being called a gentleman..." ... "You have to break train tracks, to form a way to justice..." .... I scan her face she looks about the same age as me, plus her fingers had blisters and spicy marks on them. I squint my eyes from the blazing sun picking a dandelion embedded into the soil feeling the slimy texture of the stem on my fingers. "You're playing with dandelions, huh?" ... A story that tells about a boy who grew up in the South witnessing the cruelty of his friends. Having to witness society on the injustices of people who doesn't look like him. A girl who's unable to go anywhere she pleases, facing the mistreatment of people who doesn't look like herself. Until they met each other... Note: There are grammar errors in this book. I'm too lazy to fix them so read it if you want. Hope you enjoy it <3.
