Sharon and Mae, nearly a century apart, both feel their life stories revolve around their separation from a better, brighter society. Neither yet know that the future will show the beauty of their worlds. -~-~-~-~-~-~- I'm excited to present my first coherent story! Feel free to comment as the story unfolds; I already have a skeleton plot but would love to hear feedback as to what you're enjoying so far.

Luna Vis woke up one morning, or rather one night, to the dim light of the moon. It was a day that started like any other, but turned out unlike any other, setting off the chain reaction that set her life ablaze for a second time. For six years she had lived a new normal after her life was uprooted, but now everything was on the cusp of changing again. Almost exactly six years prior, the world as it was had changed entirely for half of the world. And over a century prior to that, the world had burned. The world burned in silver and in gold, and out of the ashes rose a phoenix: a new dawn for civilization. New cities, new ideas. New weapons. New... insurance policies. Now Luna and her friends are learning first hand what being on the front lines of a war is like. Now they are finally learning what it was the government had kept so secret for six years. Now it is all up to them, but more specifically, up to Luna to stop The Eye and the White Sand from ruining everything. Only months away from her sixteenth birthday, she is handed a purpose that may just be worth a sacrifice. Soon the world will be normal... whatever she chooses that to be.
