Holly McLaughlin isn't a particularly happy person, save the pre-conceived notions formed from her name and appearance. It's not that she's depressed, or UN- happy. She's actually a lot of fun. She is however, in her mother's words, "Far too pretty to be interested in such grim things as the dead".
Holly, age 22, is a Forensic Anthropologist at the Jeffersonian, working along side an interestingly brilliant team of characters and her teen hero Dr. Temperance Brennan. In her mind, not her mother's of course, everything is good. Enter Dr. Sweets.
When Brennan and her partner from the FBI Agent booth are forced into a counseling session, Holly finds that she takes a keen interest in their Psychologist, Dr. Lance Sweets. And, needless to say he has taken an equally keen interest in her.
"What you've dealt with in the past isn't what matters. What matters is what you do with what remains."
