Eliza Degray is an unfortunate product of a failed marriage. Three years after her father and mother tied the knot, her father upped and left, leaving Eliza to spend most of her childhood bouncing between two homes, her mother's in Ruston, Louisiana, and her father's in Narrow Ways, Virginia. Just a few months after her seventeenth birthday Eliza gets a phone call from her father, who sounds very disturbed. She tries to push it from her mind until a few weeks later when he is found dead in his own home. Eliza is sure something is suspicious here, after all, nothing in her father's life could have driven him to commit suicide. His job was good and so was his mind. After all, what would drive a man to tear himself apart and then hang himself by the neck from the rafters? Despite no one else believing her, Eliza is sure that her father was murdered. Even worse, she is sure that whoever slaughtered him wasn't entirely human. When she goes to the town that her father died in she is met with a wide array of monsters, old legends, and strange deities. Slowly, she begins to unravel the mystery of the sickness that plagues this little town, and as she tries to find out what truly happened to her father, she must stop herself from meeting the same fate. All Rights Reserved
