Opposites Attract and Other Useless Sayings

Vivienne O'Day has never hated someone as much as she hates Dane Mendoza. He embodies everything she loathes about high school: popularity, sports, reputation, and teenage arrogance. She also knows so much about his history that she decides she wants nothing to do with him. Dane doesn't care much for Vivienne either, what with the constant sarcasm and trying-too-hard-to-not-try-too-hard attitude, so the feelings are mutual. Much to their dismay, Vivienne and Dane get paired up to work on a project together, forcing them to spend way too much time together.
Over and over, people tell Vivienne that she's too hard on Dane, that opposites attract. To this, she scoffs.
Opposites attract.
