Vergeltung (Retribution)

Throughout their lives, everyone unknowingly has a guardian angel watching over them; acting as a conscience. Some angels take twisting and terrifying forms, others look more normal, but all follow their person through every day of their lives: feeling their elation, pain, and fear.
Most live out their lives completely unaware of the forms lurking silently through the world close by them - except one young boy in 1903, who not only sees these angels, but is painfully aware of his own lack of one.
