A year ago, Akia's sister Masega fell mysteriously ill - and Akia knows that one day, it's going to kill her. The only hope that Akia clings onto is the Sun, ascending each day without fail, and chasing away the darkness that hides in the corners of her existence. But on the morning of the anniversary of Masega's infection, the Sun refuses to rise. Something more ominous than a strange winter disease is at play.... something more powerful than the willpower of the Sun... something that forces Akia to gamble her own life in order to save her sister's.

Raven Dorin is a low class blacksmith trying to make ends meet in her little village. Only the brave and stupid live in this tiny village located on the border between the human lands and the Demon Kingdom. It's been centuries since anyone has seen a demon, but no one dares go across the border to see if they still live. Until the moon turns red and the village chooses her as it's sacrifice. Azia, King of the Demons, has walked the land for centuries seeing many changes, both good and bad, take place. When the moon turns red, as part of a treaty created with his father and human Kings centuries ago, he goes to gather the women dropped off at the border. What he didn't expect was to find his mate. Will she accept him or reject him?
