Born into a fractured royal bloodline and haunted by elemental power he cannot control, Onyx Arias lives under the tyrannical rule of a father obsessed with strength and legacy. One moment of unrestrained rage shatters everything-leaving Onyx covered in blood and running from the ruins of his own family. Six years later, hidden among a rebel organization known as The Shattered Veil, Onyx wrestles with his past, his guilt, and powers born from shadow. As war brews and loyalties shift, he finds solace-and unexpected connection-in Oreon, a fellow fighter with scars of his own. But trust is dangerous and love even more so in a world where betrayal can wear a familiar face. Torn between the wreckage of who he was and the rebellion he might help lead, Onyx must decide if he's still the broken boy who ran-or if he's ready to become the weapon fate demands. Because in the end, survival isn't enough. I suck at descriptions but it's dark, it's gay, there are descriptive make out scenes and possible future smut. There is swearing. I would say this is like 15+ or some shit. I don't do trigger warnings at the start of chapters but there are going to be mentions/semi described child abuse.
