"We can try to control the urge. Our mate will help us. His wolf is strong. We will not hurt him." My wolf argues on. How very wrong she is. I had accepted the fact that I will never be a normal werewolf. Nor a Luna or a mate. I have come in terms with what I am. A Lycan. The bloodlust will never be sated. I can only live by what I am. By hiding my true nature. That is why I have to do this. My wolf protests, but I know better.

I hold his gaze and gathering as much strenght as I can, I say the words that will haunt me forever.

"I, Keira Jones, accept the rejection of Mathew Parks, as his mate and Luna of the Dust Moon pack".

My wolfs howls in pain. I slowly walk away from my future.

My Mother Runs With Wolves

51 parts Complete

A genetically unique but emotionally lost teenager must figure out who she is within her mixed-up, warring world of Shifters and Wolfstalkers. ***** It wasn't Maddie's choice to be born a half-breed, half Shifter, half Wolfstalker -- a hunter of Shifters -- and it wasn't her choice to keep her identity a secret. But after trying to attend high school like any normal sixteen-year-old, things quickly spiral south when her Stalker uncle finds out about her and catapults her out of anonymity and into the awareness--or possibly the crosshairs--of The Order of the Wolfstalker. Maddie must think fast and figure out a way to keep herself and her family safe, or risk losing everything. Including her life. [[word count: 70,000-80,000 words]]
