It's the year 2122, over a century after the historical 2016 election. The northern cluster of states that voted Democratically have seceded, calling themselves The American Democracy, while the other states called themselves The American Republic.  Many years later, we have two friends, Jayla and Sean, a Democrat and a Republican, who find themselves breaking the most important law: crossing the border.
