You've got to have an idea about what love is, right? Some believe it's destiny, or a spur of the moment emotion, and others enjoy using science to work out what it really is. But everyone has an idea, or preference. Not Lucas. 
Lucas was completely oblivious to love. Growing up as a child of divorce, his single father told him about love, placing it as a stupid, unreliable emotion that was just a plague in a normal human's life. So that's how he viewed it, but you can't expect him to not get curious.
Alexander Davis Smith, or Alex to you or me, wasn't as torn between his view of love. He thought it was compete and utter bullshit. Never had he even ponder on the issue. There's no love, or even real happiness, in his opinion. He believed in human attraction being nothing more than how someone's body is viewed. He's never felt love. He believed he never would.
But c'mon, don't you think they'd be cute together? 
Obviously, they'll meet. Sparks will fly and something will happen. But what if Alex refuses to accept the fact that maybe love isn't just an animalistic instinct and based purely off lust? Will he try to run from this new found emotion? Or will he just give up and fall hard? 
All he knew was one thing. That he needed to ask one vital question;
"Am I broken?"

Neither of those two boys seem very different from each other, both are kind, well-liked, and very handsome. Even if they aren't friends, you wouldn't expect them to dislike each other. Well, sadly that is incorrect. Ever since they can remember, they have each hated each other with a burning passion. Jace thinks Alec is a jackass know-it-all, and Alec thinks Jace is annoying and throws his personality in everyone's faces. Those seem like very small or petty things that they could easily overcome by having a conversation, but both are too stubborn for that. It is a mutual hate that neither will give up. But when one day they get news that seems like the end of the world... it turns out to be the best thing that has happened to both of them. Shiloh nelin alexander he knew he had been around the wrong crowd, he acknowledge his mistakes and he regrets it, his family forgave him, they loved him and nothing changed about that but he never did forgave himself. He hates how his decisions disgraced their family, he's raised right but does the world knows that? No. They know him as the alexander who sleeps around, the alexander who goes underground racing, the failed alexander. The only good thing that came out from his decisions is his daughter. Spring Emmanuel Alexander, he changed for himself, to be better for his daughter. his tarnished reputation was never been heard since she was borned. Both men chosed to live far from the city, away from the judging eyes that hunts their day and night dreams. Will love burn them enough to lit a fire they wanted to deminish.
