Small town USA Silverkey Crossing is quiet and peaceful if you don't look too closely.

You won't notice how... off... some of the residents seem.

You won't know who's missing. And when I say missing, I mean they just vanished.

You won't hear the stories about how they vanished. Some of them are funny. Some aren't. Some are just downright strange.

Most of them are short.

Yep. Short stories. Silver has a whole collection of them. Pity the man, woman or child that searches them out...

But she might as well be with her faded appearance and her tendency to blend into the background. She is quiet and strange, but she is the lady her mother raised her to be. So after the suicide of her cousin, when she is moved to the tiny town of Sableridge so that her mother can care for her devastated aunt, all she wants is to be left alone. Lauriston Lockwood is a gossip. That's what everyone at school will tell you. Like his mother, who writes the gossip column for the town newspaper, he's always on the lookout for the next scoop. Which is currently the odd new girl in town, who happens to also be his dead best friend's cousin. And he's determined to prove that his best friend's death wasn't self-inflicted. 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗺𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘆, 𝗮 𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗱𝘆? 𝗵𝗮𝗵𝗮...𝗶 𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗻'𝘁 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝘆𝗲𝘁 *** 𝙩𝙬: 𝙨𝙪𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙙𝙚, 𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙛 𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙢, 𝙖𝙗𝙪𝙨𝙚 ***
