Shelby Broderick has watched her childhood friend, Ashton Irwin, rise to fame with his band. She's kept up with him through email and an occasional phone call and is giving her all to keep their friendship alive. But it's not easy when the efforts are one-sided. When Ashton actually responds, Shelby has to deal with his stories of his latest love interests or the stresses of band life. Rarely does he ask about her life. It takes all of her strength to not give up on her old best friend, the one she's loved for years.
