Josh Sanders is a 15 year old boy who lives with a broken family in 1980s suburbia. Josh's father made most of the money in the family, but ever since his father died his family is on the edge of destitution. He lives with only his mother and 4 year old sister in sometimes too close of quarters. Josh barely spends any time with his family and is rarely seen home, always hanging out with a group of delinquents he calls friends. They pass their time by breaking into houses and stores, vandalizing property, stealing, and doing drugs. Everything seems like it'll never change and that Josh will be stuck forever, but when his mother dies of a heroin overdose, Josh and his sister are sent to separate foster homes. The new family Josh is living with is horrible. Drugged up junkies are constantly dealing with the owner of the foster home and he's abusive. Josh knows that the only way for him to escape this is to run away. Will he make it on his own?
