Sherlock and John are working a case involving the murder of someone who claimed to be an angel-like-creature. John accidentally insults his sister and becomes cursed. John worries about what Sherlock will think. He wants to keep it a secret but he can only keep the curse hidden for a few days at a time, and even then its painful.
To make matters worse, both men have feelings for each other, not that either one would admit it.
