Melody is a 16-year-old sophomore, new to her high school after moving to town following a devastating fire that destroyed her family's farm. She has no siblings, and while her parents are deeply religious and hope she will follow their faith, Melody quietly struggles to find her own path. Art is her escape, a way to process her emotions and cope with the upheaval in her life. Though her parents love her deeply, their expectations can feel overwhelming at times, and art provides her with the freedom she craves in a world full of uncertainty. Melody first noticed Bella as she was introducing herself to her new class. She was captivated by Bella's warm brown eyes and dark hair, that cascaded down her shoulders. As they got to know each other, that realised that they have a lot in common. What started as a simple connection over art slowly grew into something more, with their feelings evolving into a quiet but undeniable affection.
