Angel With a Shotgun

"Angel With a Shotgun" is set in an alternate reality in which Music is a tangible substance, sold as a street drug, able to be taken intravenously to change the mood of the person using it.

Amelia Johanovic is a social pariah at Marshall Heights High. Her classmates avoid her, and often speak of her behind her back. Her single, widowed, mother, being the sole provider for her daughter, is always either working or wallowing in self-pity, leaving little time for Amelia to confide in her about her problems. The anxiety of attending her school everyday leaves Amelia desperate for a solution, which she finds when a student known as "Bach" begins dealing Music, a street drug capable of boosting and changing its user's mood. Whilst initially being a relief for her, Amelia soon discovers a darker side to Music, one which changes her life drastically, when she suddenly finds herself on the run from the authorities, wanted for mass murder.
