Draco Malfoy is the son of the Death Eater Lucius Malfoy and so he has always been expected by his family as well as Voldemort himself to one day become a Death Eater. This tears Draco apart as he wishes for nothing of the sort. He wants no part in the evil Voldemort planned for him. He starves himself, cuts himself, and hates himself. He becomes agressive and lashes out at others. He isolates himself and pushes his friends away. When Harry finds out about Draco's secret he does anything and everything to save Draco, even if it puts himself at a major risk. It isn't until after it's too late that Harry realizes he's in love with Draco. Draco of course realizes his feelings way sooner than Harry and finding out that he's gay and for Harry Potter of all people takes a toll on Draco. His mother and father would not be okay with Draco being gay and Voldemort would certainly not be okay with his soon-to-be Death Eater being romantically involved with The Boy Who Lived. Will Draco survive? Will Harry make it in time?
