No one believed a human could stand against the Gem Empire-until one was given the power to change everything. Fenrir was one of the strangest members of the Crystal Gems. She was able to stand toe-to-toe against some of the toughest soldiers that Homeworld had to offer, but, despite her monstrous appearance-purple fur, blazing red wings, and horns that curved above her head-she was still human. Rose Quartz and Garnet rescued her from a Gem research facility, but even Garnet's future vision couldn't prepare them for the horrors Fenrir had endured. Her strength made her a formidable ally in the Gem War, and she quickly became an invaluable member of the Crystal Gems. She was their secret weapon, revered for her power. Unfortunately, none of them realized that they'd have to finish the fight without her. Near the end of the war, she was sent on a mission and disappeared, leaving her comrades to carry on without her. That is until several thousand years later when she appeared on a certain beach near a small town. As she reconnects with Garnet and the other Crystal Gems, she must confront the consequences of her absence, her volatile power, and the deep bond she shares with those she once fought beside. The battle isn't over-Fenrir still carries the weight of her past, and the future is far from certain. ~~~~~~------~~~~~~ Steven Universe OC insert with some focus on Garnet because Square Mom is Best Mom. In a world where your eye color can determine your status, where monsters roam the earth, how can a team of two siblings, a "child", a priest, a few orphans and the devil really hope to survive? *** Aurora is a thirteen year old student mage who was placed into a boarding school at five years old. It was found out that her brother was magicless, and she's bullied for that. This, paired with his absence, has led her to feeling attached to her brother, and when she is notified of his distant arrival, she is ecstatic, despite being notified during a dire situation. Her life doesn't exactly get better from there, as she is whisked into a world of constantly oncoming danger. Her brother tries to defend her, but can she really be safe with his poor judge of character? Especially in the case of a certain omen of bad luck. Arthur, an eighteen year old adventurer and the brother of Aurora, does indeed have poor judge of character, but he's always been around terrible people. Despite this, he does find the good in others and always tries to show that to his sister. Unfortunately he is always proved wrong by his favored companions, who later reveal the worst of themselves to him. On top of that, he's always seen as less than, and he seems to have accepted that, but at least he understands that the only universal constant is that his sister loves him and he loves his sister. The title character is left ambiguous for a majority of the introduction. It's like he was plopped into the world at the last minute, even though he develops major plot points like the second magic system and the demon hunting. Those aren't even major spoilers, that's just surface level stuff. He's the aforementioned omen of bad luck that follows the siblings, and others that are soon to follow. Though, he seems to be the only competent one, as he saves the siblings time and time again. They almost seem useless to him, yet he stands by them anyway. One begins to wonder... is Ha'des really a demon?

They say that some are left at the mercy of love when light seems lost in darkness. When light does seem lost in darkness, and there appears to be noway out, you begin to wonder: was it all worth it? Was it your mistake which made you miss your fate? And does the forbidden fruit always taste the sweatest? Or should some of us just stick with the piece of fruit in which we were given at the beginning? So many questions, very little answers.
