Dawn Miller is sick of being good. Her parents have scheduled her to an inch of her life and her popular friends are boring her to tears. And the rich boy everyone wants her to date is more obnoxious then a five year old on a sugar high.

But then she meets Starr, the headmaster's punk rock daughter who refuses to play by the rules. Starr introduces Dawn to a whole new world of indy record stores, all night raves, and cute skateboarders who practice underneath a parking deck downtown.

Skateboarders like Sean, who's sweet and smart and utterly hot--everything Dawn's ever wanted in a boyfriend--and soon she finds herself head over heels. But deep down she knows her parents will never approve of this boy from the wrong side of town...and the lies she's been telling are starting to catch up to her. Will Dawn be forced to leave her newfound life behind...and lose her skater boy forever?

Sixteen-year-old plus-sized Katie Sims' life-as-she-knew-it ended on a Wednesday. And no, that's not just an overly dramatic view of what happened that day. Seriously, how could anyone be expected to just go on with their lives after: 1. Catching her hot, boy-band-wannabe, boyfriend sharing a video of them making out (including fondling of naked breasts); 2. Learning her nickname, Furby, didn't mean she was cute, round and fluffy. No... try Fat Ugly Rich Bitch Yuppie; 3. Hearing said boyfriend is using her to get to her famous record producer father. Convinced she's a social reject, Katie retreats from the world, opting to finish school online. Well, that is until she's accepted into the Crescendo Academy of Performing Arts. Jumping at the chance to re-invent herself, Katie enrols under a fake name and heads off to boarding school with her best friend Annie. Which is why she is horrified when buddied with the mind-blowingly hot Riley Stone. Apparently some evil-minded deity has it in for her. So what if Riley swears he's more than just a pretty face? Like she would ever trust another hot guy. Riley Stone is stunned when the funny, talented but shrew-like Katie Sims dismisses him at first sight as nothing but a shallow pretty-boy. In fact, she wants nothing to do with him. Realizing his good looks are more of a curse than an advantage where Katie is concerned, he sets out to convince her he's more than just the sum of his parts.

"We said whoever eats the most pizza has to do the dare no matter how cruel or easy it is." This is just a glimpse of our sleepovers. Ivy and Autumn always drag me into some kind of trap to do their evil dares. Tonight, they used my worst weakness, food. Sighing, "fine. I'll take the dare." They cheered and high-fived as I stood in front of them, glaring. "Better not be something bad!" I blurted, making them snap out of their cheering. They looked at me with a sinister smirk. The smirk where you know their up to something. Something bad. - Meet Jade Williams. Your average girl in every single way. I stepped forward and asked, "Where do you want me?" It took me a second to realize what I just said. Shit! I placed a hand on my crimson face and muttered, "Get your head out of the gutter! You know what I meant." He laughed, his voice sounded hoarse and deep even when he's laughing. I peeked at him from the gap I made between my fingers. He was close. So close. He grabbed my hand and took me to the bed. Damn! It did sound sexy. His shirt was loose. Too large for me, and it hung on me like a cloth hung on a hanger. He sat on the bed, criss crossed and pulled me to him. ♡♡♡♡♡ The thing about love is... its unpredictable. Even when you don't want love, it just happens. An ex-couples rivalry for the spot as student body president becomes even more convoluted when two new, unexpected candidates enter the race. Chloe and Preston team up, each vowing to get one member kicked from the competition-- but when they both end up helping their victims to spite each other, the campaign gets a lot more complicated. * * * * * Chloe Peters is determined to solidify her most-popular-girl-in-school status with the label of student body president, so she's furious when three other candidates enter the race. Now, she's competing against her ex-boyfriend Preston McMillan, some nobody named Emily, and the school's notorious troublemaker, Finn Harrel. If it means saving her pride and not letting Preston get the best of her, she'd do just about anything-- even help out Finn, who despite his good looks, gets on her last nerve with his lackadaisical attitude and class-clown antics. Preston McMillan just wants a distraction from the fact that his wrestling team is about to be disbanded. When he signs up for the presidential race, he doesn't expect Chloe to go berserk, nor does he expect to meet Emily, a quiet, stony girl he can't believe he's never noticed before. After deciding to help with her campaign, he's got plenty of distractions-- enough to make him wonder what really matters, and enough to make his friends question where his loyalties lie. One thing's for sure: suddenly, this race is about a lot more than student government. 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐏𝐋𝐄𝐓𝐄𝐃 (𝐮𝐧𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝) - 𝟑/𝟖/𝟐𝟎𝟏𝟗 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐏𝐋𝐄𝐓𝐄𝐃 (𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐬) - 𝟏𝟎/𝟏𝟓/𝟐𝟎𝟏𝟗 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐏𝐋𝐄𝐓𝐄𝐃 (𝐦𝐚𝐣𝐨𝐫 𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐬)- 𝟖/𝟐𝟒/𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟎

Michael's Ghost Girl by martykate1

This story is not getting the attention it deserves, so I am attempting to "re-brand" it. Maybe no one "gets" it. If you want to read about "Normal" teenagers, maybe this isn't for you, it's more complicated than that. It's about a teenager who doesn't fit it, but doesn't want to, who has the best two friends that anyone could have. Who watched his father lose his job in the Recession and then loses his home, and how he copes, especially when he learns that their new house is haunted and the ghost is in his room. Michael was an average kid, although he's always stood out. He was a school jock but also a skater whose long blond hair almost reaches his waist. When his parents lived in a house in a home owners association like all his other friends, life seemed normal. Then his father lost his job and suddenly those "friends" weren't there anymore--except for his two best friends, Short Round and Dewey. The three are skaters, good ones, who live for girls and their skateboards. They're also basically good kids who take pride in being different without paying attention to it. When Michael loses his home and his family has to move they have his back. And they are there for him when the ghost girl starts following him around. Mariah was murdered when she was just 15, her remains were never found, although no one but her and her ghost friend, Crazy Girl, know where their bodies are buried. The house Michael now lives in is the one where she lived with her family, and her old room is now his. She appears to him one night, trying to taunt him, but against her will she is falling in love with the boy who lives in her old room. Slowly the two begin to fall in love and Mariah tells him her story, and of the hidden danger that lies up the street from him. A dangerous strangers loves to kill little girls, and his sister Kit
