"Aren't all promises meant to be broken?" he slurred as he took a drag of his cigarette.
"The ones you break are the ones that will break you," I replied before shaking my head in disappointment and walking away.

Promise. A 7-letter word and a 2-syllable noun. A 'promise' is a vow that one makes to ensure they will do a particular thing or a specific event will occur.
But what's the point in making a promise when every single person who's promised me anything decides to sever the trust I put in them?
What's the point in making a promise when the people that create them are the ones who I thought would never break them?
I mean, after all, aren't promises meant to be broken?
~~~
Jasmyn believes that when one makes a 'promise,' one should fulfill that oath.
Why, you may ask?
Jasmyn had people who she believed wouldn't ever break a promise they made to her. Whether it was a promise to take her to the beach, or a promise to buy some more snickers from the convenient store, Jasmyn had faith that her family would keep their promise.
She learned the hard way that promises somehow finds its way to be broken.
Watch as Jasmyn embarks on a journey through a series of tunnels that involve hardships, a little bit of love and promises, both broken and kept.
