Dean was the jock everyone expected him to be. Castiel was the new kid that everyone picked on. They didn't realize what made Castiel different, the teen made sure of that. He had been alone, friendless, and beaten by his father since the ripe old age of three. Without a mother, Castiel had to try and teach himself how to do things that were taught by the love and patience of a mother. His father could barely keep them in a house, let alone buy them food. His life was as hard as it could get. Or so he thought, his life seemed pretty easy after he met a green eyed boy named Dean.

Cas and Dean are seniors in high school and they've been best friends since they were five years old. They know everything about one another, or so Dean thought. Sweet fluff ensues, and it's soon after that Dean learns Cas' biggest secret. He is also faced with emotions he has never felt before, especially in regards to Cas. He finds himself jealous and angry when he sees Cas with Luke, and at his brother's suggestion he decides to confront his true feelings for his best friend, and tell him how he really feels.
