Slowly walking to the nest I nervously hugged my body, scared I would choose wrong. How will I know? I thought. Placing a hand on one of the eggs I gently caressed it careful to not harm it.
How will I know?
Just then I felt strong pull behind me. Turning around I walked towards it feeling myself being drawn. In my ears I could hear a quiet melody, as if saying 'this is the one'. I laid my hand on the surprisingly small egg and immediately I felt a strong surge of energy flow through my body. And I was blinded.
Seeing nothing but blackness I heard a voice.
"Aric." A soft voice called to me.
"Who's there!?" In panic I replied.
"Don't be frightened." The beautiful voice sofly assured me.
"You can hear my thoughts?" I wondered.
She laughed at my amazement.
Her laugh is beautiful.
"I've waited a thousand years to hear your thoughts." Her voice reminded me of a calm valley, hearing birds at play, and a soft river flowing. She gave me such peace.
"Wake up now. For we will meet soon."

My mind scrambling to process what had happened as I felt rubble falling around me, surrounding me in darkness. I reached up, my arm stinging as I hit the hard wood table over me, which was keeping the rubble off me, miraculously. I wiped my forehead, sweat, and probably blood dripping down my arm and side of head as I reached for a nearby rock, trying to push on it, hoping that it might help me out of this disaster. "Mom? Betty?" I called, hoping for a response, only to get none. I didn't even get the slightest whimper from any of them. What the heck happened? "Mom?! Betty?!" I screamed this time, trying to push myself up onto my back, my leg killing me so much that I had to give up. I laid back down on the ground, placing my hand on the bottom of the table; anger, fear, confusion getting the best of me. I screamed as I banged my fists on the wood table. "MOM? BETTY?" Nothing. I was ready to bang on the wood again, but I flinched back when I heard the sound of moving rubble. Whoever it is was almost near where I was, and ... moving quickly. So, there's no possible way that it was a human. It would take hundreds do men to lift these boulders, but whoever this person is, is stronger than anyone I would kn- My thoughts froze as I watched something large wrap around the edges of the table, lifting it up; my eyes widening as I came face to face with the largest creature known to mankind. He's strong, intimidating, and pretty much has people running for the hills at the very aspect of him getting angry. It was a Sunday night, family night for the Greens. They were playing a board game when it happened. At exactly 11:11 pm; a time for wishes, a sixteen year old girl wished for true love one day. At that exact moment her window smashed and something flew into her room. It was a flock of them; they attracted the house and only took one thing: the girl. She remembers it clearly, the way she screamed scared out of her mind. The way it grabbed her waist and took off. She remembers screaming for help but no one came to her rescue. Oh how she wishes that she left her safety knife in her room. Then they would be safe. Her family! She just hopes they were fine, but the conclusion that she was taken says that her family would be back to normal soon. She sighs and thinks over her life. From a little kid she was always the loner. Everything was gone. I sobbed, my clothes ripped and I was bleeding, but it didn't matter. I had to get to her, to them.
