Ninjago City has come to a breakdown when a girl in a mask and her armada take over. Terrorizing the people and destroying everything around.
The girl in the mask really only has one target. The ninja. With arrows by her side, she fires them at Lloyd. With one special on ready for him. Instead of Lloyd getting hit, Kai takes the blow.
Days later he...transformed. In his new form he must face new enemies and greater odds than the ninja could imagine. Also gaining new powers that he other ninja have. Making himself and the people of Ninjago risk. But making a 'sacrifice' in the process.

It's a wonderful day in Jamanakai city. Kai's plans for the day are to deliver a sword, get the loaded payment, buy necessities and potatoes to bake, go home, and take a rest. The last two have scratched off however, and it's all courtesy to this guy he comes across too; he's really tall, busting with muscles, owns a pretty pair of big eyes with green irises, and wears a damn charming smile. Everything goes upside down after that. Suddenly, before the gods could spare a blink, Kai is aboard a pirate ship with people he least expected to be with. Kai makes terrible plans, but this trip has got to be the worst yet as he literally fights for his life against one or two fellow mythical creatures. He's also fighting for his troubling heart, as the same guy who ruined his life never fails to skyrocket his heart rate through the sky, and churn his stomach like a towel being twisted into a rope. The first day they met was already stressful, let alone the following ones.
