But training in both ranks isn't easy. It takes a toll on the body, mind, and emotions. So Horsepaw looses friends, gains friends, makes sacrifices, and finds out shocking secrets.
Doing both of these, and missing a leg and not being able to speak, can Horsepaw prove herself to her Clanmates, fellow apprentices, and most of all, their leader?
