Meet Kyla Morgan, an ordinary 16-year-old girl who has always loved the ocean.

"Ordinary", yeah okay! That's what she thought just 24 hours ago when everything made sense.

Her beach house had always been a place of comfort and familiarity. Now, it was full of mystery and unanswered questions.

It was always more than just a "love" for the ocean. It gave her power and strength in times of need and calmed her when she was nervous or stressed.

She's never figured out why. She's always had this feeling in her gut, like a magnetic attraction to the water. Something that she cannot control.

She's just a beautiful girl with a beautiful name and an amazingly gorgeous ability.

** BARNES AND NOBLE TEEN SELECTION 2015 - TOP 7 YA's THAT WILL LEAVE YOU TERRIFIED OF THE OCEAN ** "Dawson's Creek meets Jaws and The Goonies in a twisted, supernatural tale unlike anything I've ever read. I am totally addicted!" - ARC reviewer SUMMARY: Eila Walker knows luck is not a friend, so she is downright shocked to inherit a million-dollar Cape Cod home. And yeah, her new town isn't perfect: the cheerleaders are heinous clones, the local undertow can kill ya, and her Great Grams was supposedly fried by lightning in the harbor square. Still, Eila is hopeful her luckless days are in the past . . . until history decides to repeat itself. When Raef O'Reilly becomes her friendly, yet weirdly protective shadow, Eila thinks life is pretty darn perfect - until she is hauled beneath the waves by an unnatural undertow. Revealing coal-black eyes and iron-like strength as he rescues her, Raef can no longer hide what he is . . . or what she can do. Eila, last of her kind, can supposedly channel the power of human souls, while Raef is more adept at stealing them. Even worse, the legend about her ancestor isn't such a myth, since Eila's grandmother was one kick-butt warrior until her lightning-like power backfired. A power that is written all over Eila's DNA. Determined to stay one step ahead of a dangerous clan that is hunting her, Raef, along with three unlikely allies, will do all they can to protect her. But as hidden pieces of their brutal histories unravel, Eila begins to understand just what went down in the harbor square. She soon realizes that following in her grandmother's fearless footsteps may be the only way to save those she loves . . . including Raef.

Each dragon can only have one of these elements. But what if you hatched with two elements, And a strange red symbol just behind your eye? <> BOOK ONE ~ Beating Wings <> (Completed) DARK DRAGON SERIES Book Cover: Created by @Ink_Smoke_ZS TEASER: "I need you to help me, Zepth." The Queen locked her cold stare onto the dragon who sat before her, which unfortunately was me. "I need you to stay on my side. You are aware the reasons behind the declaration for war, yes?" "Yes, your highness." "Then you understand my problem. One, anyways." She looked away, as if talking to herself. "Do you have another problem, highness?" The Queen looked around to make sure no one else was nearby. Then, she leaned in slightly and whispered, "Dark Dragons." "Dark... Dragons...? Is there such a thing, highness?" I cocked my head at the unfamiliar term. "Indeed. They roam everywhere outside of my kingdom. They threaten our very existence." She sighed, deeply troubled. "Dark Dragons are what we call multi-element dragons, and all of them are marked with a red symbol, of course it varies how it looks with each one..." I sat upright, and tightened my stomach muscles. My blood ran cold and one thought raced through me: Why had my mother never mentioned this? 🏆 HIGHEST RANKINGS 🏆 1 - #darkdragon (2/22/2019) 7 - #gold (1/1/2019) 2 - #lands (1/19/2019) 👁 VIEWS 👁 🔓100 - 900 (1/16/2019) 🔓1,000 (1/19/2019) 🎉 🔓2K (8/4/2019) 🔓3K (9/8/2020) 🔓5K (2021) 🔓6K (2022)
