He leaned against the rail, looking out over the ocean, his eyes fixed on the horizon. A slight smile spreads across his face. "Hey," he hears a girl call to him, "you coming or what?" A wide smile on her face and a calming pressence. "Heh, yeah I'm coming," the man calls back to her. Everything seems perfect...
The man wakes up, covered in blood and scars, chained to the wall. A sinister man chuckles to himself as he holds a bloodsoaked knife in his hand. "So," he grips the slaves hair to hold his head up, "you ready to step down from your throne yet?" The slave clenches his teeth and mutters, "Go to Hell..!" The villan smirks and says to the slave, "Have it your way...Solomon," as he drags the blade across the slaves chest as he screams in pain...
What will happen to the man bound as a slave, what did he mean by "throne", and where is the girl now?

"Adira, how did you get in?" He started. Holding up a silver object she waved it about and placed it on a coffee table, he remembered the spare key that was hidden under the doormat. "Well I'm glad we were finally able to find you, Leyana has been going crazy trying to find you, we know you couldn't have gone far without turning back so we waited." Again he met silence, no words coming from her side of the room, her face looked tortured, her corneas were red with blood vessels irritated and the area around her eyes were damp and tired. She tried her best to appear everything except emotional but she failed miserably, when she looked him in the eyes he almost shivered from the ferocity held in the honeyed orbs. When she fell onto the couch he knew something was wrong. Crossing the space between them in a matter of seconds and kneeling in front of her he rested a hand on her quivering thigh. "Adira, what's wrong? Has something happened?" The far away look told him he was dealing with something that he had no idea how to, she couldn't focus on him, she didn't even meet his eyes. She simply looked forward and swallowed the bile of emotion rising in her throat. Cupping her cheeks in his hand he made her look at him, glassy eyes barely made their way to him until she snapped onto his vision, focused emotions intensified on the dark blue eyes that filled with concern. "What am I Kalmin?" A tortured whisper of a voice. ___ Adira Levrin was born Lord of the (Secret) Society of the Southern states of America. In a world dominated by werewolves, Odette leads a simple, human life until what was supposed to be the best day of her life, her wedding day, takes a nightmarish turn. Luca, a powerful world-leader and Alpha, claims her as his mate, which forces her into a desperate fight for her freedom. Now on the run, Odette encounters challenges that will test her wit and strength. Will she surrender to the relentless pursuit, or fight back? ~~~ I round the corner to see a group of freakishly-tall and handsome men. There were three men in the group, one instantly stood out to me even with his back toward me. He had deep black hair and I could tell strong lean muscles were hidden beneath his button-up shirt. I falter in my steps a bit, something in my mind telling me to go another way, to ask someone else for help with directions. But I keep walking closer. Something else within me tells me it will be okay. As I get closer, the two men who were facing my direction look towards me and I stop, keeping a safe distance. Hopefully they are able to help me, and not turn me away just because I'm a human. "Hi, um, could you tell me where the front desk is?" The man whose back was facing towards me stiffened. "I think I'm a little..." The man turned toward me so quickly it made my heartbeat waver. His deep blue eyes pierced into my brown ones and called out to me. His jawline was chiseled to perfection, lips parted slightly in awe. Every feature of his face was meticulously handcrafted by God. I never thought I could find a wolf so elegant. He was...beautiful. Something in the air shifted. I could feel it in my bones. "...lost," I finished my sentence after a brief pause. No one answered me. Did I say something wrong? I look between the three of them and see that the two men behind the man who was staring so intently at me were looking between me and him. "Mate."

A riveting coming of age story about an orphaned dracon shifter's struggle to control her own fate. "Black as a moonless night, might makes right," Joel whispered the old saying under his breath. His fingers clenched around my wrist before he released me and stepped away, his aura flashing with yellows and spring greens - excited and amused. Mostly excited. Definitely not afraid. "Precisely," I said. Out of the corner of my eye, I watched Grandfather's deep purple aura turn orange. Feigned disappointment. In his opinion, aura reading was a potential weakness and one he never hesitated to exploit. He only broadcast his emotions when he wanted someone to read them. I rolled my eyes. "Stop acting so disappointed, Grandfather. This is what you wanted, isn't it? Why else would he-" I nodded to Joel "-be here? Our world is beneath his notice unless you invited him." "Lured," Joel supplied helpfully. So I wasn't the only one Grandfather tricked. "Tell me, Grandfather. Did you want Director Nease dead?"
