“Does the strange man that I found at the bottom of my tree wanna tell me his name?” The girl asks in a somewhat timid but tired tone. “’Coz if he doesn’t, I can find out for myself.”
“My name is Kayde. What’s yours?”
“I don’t know.” She says with a small, exasperated giggle. “I call myself a new name every day ‘coz I can’t remember my real one.”
Kayde doesn't know what happened to him. He doesn't know how he got shot and ended up at her tree-house. But her story shocks him as he realizes what really happened to her, and how he could never leave her now.
