"Iao!" The boy's mother yelled as she stomped her way into the Kao fruit planation, she threw the little boy's old beat-up rags at him with haste, it seemed to be that her eyes were watering as she ran into the hut far away. Iao the boy being a feeble little kid took his clothes and walked for days restlessly until he reached the capital, now that he was an abandoned child on the bright yet dark streets of Xelind he had nothing more to do than survive. Every day was a struggle to drink or to eat he had to beg, he was on the streets of countless months begging for a living and barely being alive, his was as thin as a skeleton, he looked like a dead being who was alive. There were times where he was on verge of death due to malnutrition and starvation, only due to the pity of the adults around him he was alive he was fed, washed, and taken care of by the homeless of Xellend. One regular day for Iao he saw a man dressed like a Sound manipulator, the ones from the storybooks that his mother spoke about he thought he had hit the jackpot and would make big money by begging at this man's feet. He rushed towards that man only to receive nothing instead of gaining money or food, the man asked to take him as his apprentice and promised to teach him the art of manipulating sounds. With nothing better to do he accepted the offer to learn about sound manipulation.

Once upon a time, in a kingdom known as Auradon, lived a young prince. He was one of the most kind and caring princes the kingdom ever had. He cared about everyone, even the ones no one thought were actually worth caring for. One day, the month before his coronation, he made his first proclamation. He wanted to give the children of the villains his father had abandoned to the isle of the lost, an equal chance in Auradon. And so he invited four villain kids to Auradon Prep. Mal, daughter of Maleficent; Jay, son of Jafar; Carlos, son of Cruella de Vil; and Evie, daughter of the Evil Queen. Most people thought they would be just like their parents; evil, vicious and cruel. But Ben was convinced that even those who were raised to be villains had a good heart. And he wasn't wrong about that. It came with some struggles, but they found their place in Auradon too. After his coronation he decided that more kids had to come over, as the first four proved that they could live just like other Auradoniens in the kingdom, amongst the other citizens. He didn't really know them well personally, but only heard good stories about them and that was proof enough for him.
