Astrid was Thor Odinsons' wife. Vanishing into the forge for many days. Thor became unloyal to his wife. Astrid, coming out of the forge with a present for her husband as it was his birthday catches Thor cheating, abandons the present and her wedding ring and flees from Asgard. Hemidall begged by a distraught Astrid turns his eyes from her sending her to Midgard, into the open arms of another god this time one who will be loyal to her.
