The Moments I Recall
He looks out beyond the edge and I can't seem to pull my eyes away from him. He smiles and speaks, but I can't hear anything he says. Even so, the buzzing seems to grow quieter and quieter till it's just silence all around myself and him. I watch his mouth move as inaudible words flow from it into the air, and his hands open as he gestures while he speaks. I watch as he looks turns to look at me to be sure I am following along, and then his eyes just wait on me and his mouth stops moving. I watch him mouth my name and tilt his head to read me. There's nothing I can tell him. Nothing that wont change things, but if I keep this going things will change. 𝐓𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐚 𝐀𝐝𝐚𝐦𝐬 has always been the girl that hates humans. Possibly, the only girl that does not believe in love or want anything to do with it. This would be expected of someone that allows her whole life to be governed by a past experience ---an experience that even convinces her to love solitude and isolation from people. After several years of isolation, her aunt makes her go to school which creates a whole new pack of trouble as the trauma of her past resurfaces.
