Zalayna is a seventeen year old girl who most would describe as antisocial. She often keeps her feelings to herself. Her brother, Zyon, is the closest person to her, and sometimes she even shuts him out.
Zalayna hasn't seen Kacy, her mom's best friend, and her family since she was in the sixth grade. While her family opts to take a trip to the Bahamas for the summer, Zalayna politely declines, not wanting to put a damper on her family's summer fun. So, what happens when Zalayna is shipped away from her Texas home and off to Boston, Massachusetts to stay with her mom's best friend and her family?
