Marinette is the Princess of France.
Adrien is the son of Gabriel Agreste.

Both are introverted and are new to the outside world.

Due to a royal meeting that's held in Los Angelos, California, and a deal with her parents, Marinette ends up staying at the Agreste's for what turns out to be longer then expected and attends the public school, College Francoise Dupont along with the Agreste's son, Adrien.
