"Here's the deal," he began. "I know you don't feel the same way about me, and I know that it's very possible that you'll never return the feelings I have for you. If you don't by the time Christmas rolls around, then I'll leave you alone or we'll go back to the way things used to be - me and you, best friends and only best friends." He took a shaky breath before adding, "Besides, we're not really running the risk of 'ruining the friendship' since, and forgive me for the harsh words, but the friendship is already ruined so..." Just like every other Chrimbo, I was forsaken unless you call that one dreadful phone call from my mother asking me to come home as a formality. +++ I live a simple independent life, where I'm the CFO of Prientice Empire, have a few amazing friends and live in a luxurious apartment.
