"Sunpaw..." A voice whispered. A sweet scent tickled the Sunpaw's nose.
"Sunpaw..."
Searching for the voice, the brown and golden streaked tabby looked up into the night sky.
Where am I? The cat thought.
The stars were gleaming and seemed especially bright. Twinkling alive like billions of mini diamonds.
The voice, smooth as silk, strong as the wind spoke again.
"Sunpaw... Its time."
Sunpaw looked up, confused.
"For what?" He asked.
The voice this time seemed to carry more that one meaning, "your destiny..."

Stars entwine in the darker night as the sky cries stars of pity for those below. Stirring winds and roaring echoes- it calls forward to those those who follow the light of sun and intimidates those who hesitate to act right. "It's all burning," murmured the light grey she-cat with desperation "it's all burning!" she continued on repeating. "It is burning, Cloudfall." Meowed a white tom beside her, his tail resting on her back. "May StarClan light the paths of those cats, may they be safe in their paws." He whispered with awe and sympathy. Warriors - Burnt Skies
A fire. Caused by twolegs. And suddenly Nightpaw's entire life as she knows it has changed. The four clans that had ruled the territories for centuries have been wiped out. Shard Paw wakes up in the confines of the Place of No Stars, with her brother, Dainty Drift, and they seem to be doomed to the fate of the Dark Forest and it's eternal damnation. That is until Five, a strange tom with no explanation of who he is or wear he came from, knocks them out cold, and when they wake up, things are... different. Her name has been rewired in her brain, and parts of her core memories are completely absent...but she still has her brother. The two will be shoved very quickly into an overwhelming world where they have become the apex predator of the clans themselves, forced to adapt to Five and the eleven others of his kind's style of life, just after having died too. A/N: This is the now-published story I was referencing in Ode (it's a prequel, which you should read because it's so so cool!). I wrote this one a few months befor ebeggining Ode, so the writing style may have evolved a bit, and this is much less of a lovey cutesy story.
