Hi, my name is Ivory Marie Black. Or at least I think I am. I've seem to gotten my self into quite a predicament. I seem to have lost a majority of my memory. But here lies the problem. I'm in the middle of what looks like a forest. What did I do?

COMPLETED STORY The agony is like nothing I have ever felt before, I slide in and out of consciousness, I feel the strange sway of the two legged's walk as I am being carried through the woods, I wish to call out to my mate but I am weakened by the torments cast upon me. I have been laid down in the cold snow and my tormenter is digging in the frozen earth, I once again lose consciousness. The next time my eyes flutter open I have cold snow mixed with frozen dirt being thrown on my throbbing frame. I'm not sure what is going on. I'm freezing, hurt, and confused. I rouse to strange smells that are new to me, I'm colder than ever and something is definitely missing. I attempt to stand but immediately fall onto a fur covered ground, wait, fur... Where is my fur?!? Where did my tail go? Why do my paws look bare and have moving sticks coming out of them? Who stretched my legs out? What in tarnation happened to my fur? I guess that would explain why I'm cold. I begin to take in my surroundings, I am in a dead tree shelter but it looks completely different, there is a fire crackling near me but it does little to warm my bare skin, I'm startled by the sound of laughter, I look over and see a two legged is staring at me with a hint of humor in his eye. "You are very confused. I found you almost dead in a non descent grave. You were shot and bruised. I brought you here and made some... changes. It was the only way I could save you." The stranger explains. I don't really understand what he is saying, all I know is I want my fur back.

I may have been an owl, but my heart was a hummingbird, and it's wings beat frantically against the cage of my ribs as the forest disappeared beneath snowy wings. Dry updrafts carrying burned out leaves, shriveled by the first heatwave of the year, did not help with the comparison my mind was drawing with the sinking feeling of descending into hell. "Becky I don't know if I can do this." I linked the alpha wolf guiding me through the maelstrom of introducing myself to my pack. My pack? I was still wrapping my head around being a wolf, let alone being in possession of over a hundred of them. "Sure you can. You claimed them. Given their recent history, without your new leadership their pack will be decimated by the Elders." She didn't like them. I didn't like them. They didn't like me. They were dousing the back of my mind with death threats. What could go wrong? ... The Bind is the third novella revolving around Claire Menzies journey into a violent, seductive shadow world. A world where were creatures live alongside normies, and are governed by animal instinct and mystery.
