Levi Ackerman is the alpha of the Wings of Freedom pack. He heard about an immaciated omega in the Marian Warrior pack, and sent his two most trusted betas; Zoe Hanji and Petra Ral. Upon seeing Eren, the betas bought him and took him back to Levi. But when Levi and Eren meet, they realize something very rare.
They are mates.

In order to prevent any type of crimes towards the omegas and the harmful effects of suppressants, the government established an omega sanctuary where all omegas are kept and never allowed to go outside the walls. However, they can only be freed by they own mates. Even when "rescued" from his own uncle who owns an illegal pit fight and isolated Levi ever since he was born, Levi hardly felt freedom.
